On June 20th 2010 the Israeli government announced an 'easing' of the illegal blockade of the 1.5million people in the Gaza Strip. A new report, 'Dashed Hopes: Continuation of the Gaza Blockade' produced by a coalition of 20 leading international NGOs, including Amnesty International and Christian Aid, debunks these Israeli claims and highlights the worsening effects of the illegal blockade.
